月曜日は英会話の日
又もや、無知な二人の失敗談。今回はターちゃんと僕が先生の質問に答えると言う場面での出来事です。オギー先生が僕に「What did you have yesterday」と質問をしたのです。僕は平然とこう答えたのです。「I had a pen」とすると先生はエーと言った顔をしたのでもう一度いいました。しかし、さらに反応は悪化するばかり。ターちゃんと顔を見合わせて、あっわかった、そしてこう答えたのです。「I had a pretty dog」私はhaveを抱くと考えたのです。ターちゃんも「オーなるほど」と言った感じでうなずいています。ぼくも得意げに「どーだー」といった感じで、先生の顔を見ました。すると、先生は凄い顔しているじゃありませんか。ほんまかって感じで僕を見ます。その顔が怖い。そして、先生、一言「eat」と、おーーーーーーーーhaveとは食べると言う意味もあるんだ。二人は感心しました。しかし先生に僕はペンや可愛い犬までも食べたと言ったのです。それは怪訝な顔をするはずです。他で恥をかかずに助かった気分でした
