月曜日は英会話の日
月曜日が来るのは早いです。英語の勉強は面白いのですが、最近単語をたくさん詰め込んで覚えているのですが、先生との会話で、あっそれ、この前覚えた単語やと分かるのですが、意味が出てこない。単語帳のどのページの何段目でと言うのは思い出すのですが、意味が思い出せない。それが凄く多くなってきました。そこで止まってしまうのです。以前は知っている単語が少なかったので、どんどん聞き流していたのですがそれが出来ないのです。そして新しく覚えた単語を使うように文章を組み立てているととても遅くなる。文法もそうです。一つの形だけじゃなく色々組み合わせ、日ごろの勉強の成果をだそうとすると何が言いたいのか分からなくなる始末です。でも、以前に比べるとかなり喋れているように思います。
今日は、フリートークの時間に自分の家の中を玄関から説明する事になったのです。サー大変
自分の知っている家の中の物の単語がいかにジャパニーズイングリッシュなのか思い知りました。
やはり、毎日の積み重ねです。少しずつがんばって覚えるしかないですね。

ご無沙汰してます。昨日、緑の封書が届き開いてみて、
主人と「なつかしいなぁ〜」と話がわきました。

はじめまして。今日、初めてモンテラート様のプログを拝見しました。モンテラート様のお料理大好き☆♪♪そして昔英語の勉強をちょっとだけしていて、今は全くやってない者です。近頃、少しは英語の勉強をし直したいなあ、と思って横山シェフの英会話の日の日記を拝読しました。頑張っておられてスゴイ！で、横山氏の書かれていた次の英文ですが”I want to be early so that it can talk well.”意味は「はやくウマクしゃべれるようになりたい。」だと思うのですが、う〜ん、何だか変。主節のearly の意味は形容詞としては「早起きの」という意味で「時刻が早い」という事を表したい時に使います。よって、上記の文章のようにbe動詞に続く補語として使うと「私は早起きになりたい」という意味になります。それから従属節のitは何を指しているのか意味不明です。もし「英語を速くウマクなりたい」ならこんな文章はどうでせうか？I want to progress in English fast so that I can talk well.もし間違っていたらごめんちゃいね。では、(m___ __)m。。 zz ZZおやすみぃ♪です。
